Raiven Bryant went 3-3 on the day, scoring a trio of runs and swiping one base.  Chelsea Peace tallied a double and a triple in two at bats, registering five RBI and scoring a pair of runs herself.  Ashley Worrell registered a pair of RBI at the plate, while also starring in the circle.  The senior struck out six in the no-hit effort.

Destiny Colgate and Skyler Ralstin each walked to account for both Florida Southern baserunners.  Kayla Hickey got the start for the Mocs, throwing 1.1 innings and allowing six runs, five earned.  Cat Buckner appeared in relief, giving up a pair of scores in 3.2 innings.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Inning
  • Raiven Bryant slapped a one out single and crossed home plate on a Chelsea Peace double to open the scoring.
  • Chelsea Peace would eventually score on an error after a dropped third strike on what would have been the third out, giving the Tars a 2-0 advantage.
Second Inning
  • The Tars loaded the bases with a pair of singles and a hit by pitch.
  • Chelsea Peace then drove a triple to right field, clearing the bases.
  • Ashley Worrell lifted a sacrifice fly to center field, driving home Chelsea Peace, making the score 6-0.
  • Worrell walked the first two Mocs she faced in the bottom of the second, but Chelsea Peace caught Colgate stealing, and the Tars escaped the inning unscathed.
Fourth Inning
  • Ashley Troutman and Bryant opened up the frame with back to back singles, making their way to second and third with no outs.
  • The pair then crossed the plate with back-to-back sacrifice fly balls off the bats of Chelsea Peace and Worrell.
