WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 15, 2022) – The Tars led from start to finish no a beautiful day at Barker Family Stadium, downing the University of Virginia's College at Wise 17-7. The win brings Rollins' record to 7-0 to start the 2022 campaign. The Cavaliers drop to 3-3.

Taylor Kienle led all scorers with four goals. She also added an assist for a game high five points.Â
Liz Fahey,
Abigail Cawley,
Claire Reist, and
Ashley Goldstein all found the back of the net twice.Â
Caroline Gastonguay paced the Tars with a pair of assists.
Courtney Martin packed the stat sheet with three draw controls, three groundballs and a pair of caused turnovers. RTachel Schlesinger continued her stellar play in net for Rollins, making six saves in 90 minutes of action.

The Cavaliers got two goals from Abby Stoffelen and Anna Claire Watt to lead the attack. Jordan Edwards made 12 saves, playing the full 60 minutes in between the pipes.

Rollins won the draw control battle 17-11 and the groundball competition 24-9, while also going a perfect 14-14 on clears. Rollins turned those extra possessions into a 33-14 shot advantage and their dominating win.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Quarter
Second Quarter
- Wise tallied the first goal of the quarter on a free position shot.
- Ashley Goldstein responded with a free position shot of her own, but the Cavaliers cut the Tars advantage back to three again with a goal right off the draw control, making the score 6-3 at the 8:40 mark.
- McGarry led another fast break, finding Abigail Cawley this time, to make the score 7-3. Taylor Kienle then converted a free position look to grow the Tars lead to five.
- The Cavaliers tallied their fourth goal with 4:14 on the clock, but Abigail Cawley sliced through the defense on the next Tars' possession to, dunking the ball over the keeper and into the net, making the score 9-4 as the clock ticked under three minutes.
- The Gastonguay sisters executed a perfect give and go for the Tars tenth tally.
- Claire Reist scored in the final minute as the Tars ballooned their lead to seven with a flurry before the halftime whistle.

Fourth Quarter
- Claire Reist tallied on a free position shot to open the quarter.
- The Cavaliers netted a pair of scores to make the tally 16-7, but Lauren Noonan restored the Tars' ten goal cushion with her first score of the day.
- Rollins saw out the final minutes for the victory.
