WINTER PARK, Fla. (February 25, 2022) – The Rollins women's tennis team picked up a 6-1 victory over NAIA (RV) St. Thomas on Friday, running its winning streak to three matches. The win improves Rollins' season mark to 3-4, while STU drops to 2-6.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Doubles
- 19th-ranked Alexandra Borg and Georgia Groth were the first to finish, breezing past Annie Carrera and Maria Camila Puente on court one, 6-1.
- Kaitlynn Groves and Maria McKay sealed the doubles point for the Tars with a 6-3 win on court two over Lia Pena and Carme Ibanez.
- Eve Wasil and Erin Yaroshuk made it a clean doubles sweep with a 6-4 defeat of Maruschka Berghaus and Sofia Colvee on court three.
Singles
- Groth blanked Lauren Seemann on court one, 6-0, 6-0.
- McKay made quick work of Ibanez, 6-3, 6-1, on court four.
- The clinching point was won by Natalia Collado Cordon who bested Sofia Colvee on court five, 7-5, 6-2.
- The Tars added two more points with a pair of super-tiebreak wins on courts two and three.
- Borg held on for a 6-3, 3-6, 10-4 win over Pena on court two, while Vlasova rallied for a 3-6, 6-2, 10-4 victory on court three, besting Puente.

The Tars will play their fifth straight home match next Tuesday, March 1, when they host Eckerd in an SSC contest at 3 p.m.
