WINTER PARK, Fla. (February 19, 2022) – The Rollins men's tennis team had its home opener spoiled on Saturday as visiting No. 18 Flagler came in and beat the Tars by a score of 5-2. The loss drops Rollins to 0-2 on the season, while the Saints go to 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Doubles
- The Tars got the early jump, winning the doubles point thanks to victories on the top two courts.
- Efe Comu and Mikkel Baumann easily dispatched of Nikita Tatyanin and Jagger Ong-Patzwald on court two, 6-1.
- Denis Golubev and Andrea Brignacca secured the doubles point with a 6-3 win on court one over Oscar Del Granado and Petr Cervinka.
Singles
- The Saints took a 2-1 lead with straight-sets wins on courts three and five.
- Golubev tied it up with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Del Granado on court one, putting the match score at 2-2.
- The other three singles matches all went three sets, and all went in favor of the Saints.
- Brignacca put up a strong fight against No. 31 Tatyanin on court two, but ultimately fell 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.
- Moritz Stenzer pushed Jacopo Denitto all the way to a third-set tiebreak on court six, but came up just short, losing 2-6, 6-2, 7-6 (5).
