WINTER PARK, Fla. (February 22, 2022) – The Rollins men's tennis team won every singles and doubles match on Tuesday en route to a 7-0 sweep of visiting Bates. The victory moves Rollins to 1-2 on the season, while the Bobcats fall to 0-1.

"Bates really battled, and we were in some ways lucky to get them early in their season," Head Coach
Jay Friedman said. "Our guys really showed their determination to be both efficient and gritty as Bates found their footing as the matches progressed. Really happy for the guys to put it all together as we look ahead to a couple of tough conference matches this weekend."

Singles
- Comu made quick work of Gujarathi on court two to score the first singles point of the match.
- Golubev made it 3-0 Tars with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Kania on court one.
- The clinching point was won on court four by Buamann who knocked off Danielson 6-3, 6-2.
- Phillip McMurray downed Zhou on court six, 6-3, 6-1, pushing the score to 5-0.
- The sixth point was claimed by Stenzer with a 6-1, 7-5 win over Desai on court five.
- The final singles match to be decided came on court three where Putrino came back from being down a set to defeat Forester 4-6, 6-4, 10-6.
UP NEXT:
The Tars will continue this homestand with an SSC match against Florida Southern on Friday, Feb. 25. The match is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.
