ORLANDO, Fla. (February 17, 2022) – The Rollins women's tennis team made the short trip to the USTA National Center in Orlando on Thursday to take on NCAA I Air Force. The Tars came up short, falling to the Falcons by a score of 7-0. The loss drops Rollins' record to 0-3, while Air Force moves to 7-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Doubles
- The duo of Kaitlynn Groves and Maria McKay put up a strong fight at No. 2 doubles, losing to Sydney Fitch and Isabella Flodin, 7-6.
- The Falcons took the other two doubles matches as well, winning the doubles point.
Singles
- Air Force swept the singles matches as well, winning on the top five courts in straight sets.
- Court six saw Eve Wasil win the first set over Alex Kuo, 7-5, but Kuo battled back to win the second set, 6-1, and the tiebreak, 10-5.
