WINTER PARK, Fla. (September 18, 2021) – After a long weather delay, the Tars took an early lead over Shaw, and never looked back, on the way to a 5-0 win. With the victory Rollins improves to 2-4-0 overall, while the Bears drop to 1-4-0 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Half
- The Tars took the lead at the seven minute mark. Sophia Olore slid a pass through the Bears defense which found Tayla Duffy on the edge of the box. Duffy unleashed a low rocket with her left foot that found the back of the net, giving junior her first goal in the Blue and Gold.
- Just minutes later Olore and Duffy switched roles, as Duffy sent a corner kick into the box, and Olore got her head to it first, redirecting the ball beyond the keeper for Rollins second goal.
- Duffy capped her eventful first half with her second tally. Vilja Aaltonen beat her defender down the wing and sent a cross into the box. Duffy nodded it home for the 3-0 halftime advantage.
Second Half
- The Tars would bring their lead to four at the 59 minute mark. Duffy lofted in another cross, which Aaltonen headed onto the feet of freshman Briyah Drayton. The Montverde product coolly gathered the ball and put her shot into the side netting.
- Rollins capped the scoring in the 82nd minute. Meghan Mosley sent a perfectly placed low cross into the box. Chynna McGirt beat her markers to the ball and pushed it past the goalkeeper for Rollins fifth score.
- Elena Beasley and Noel Miller split time in net for Rollins, combing for eight saves in the clean sheet.
