WINTER PARK, Fla. (September 16, 2021) – The Tars could not defeat the No. 25 Orediggers of Colorado School of Mines, falling 2-0 on the turf at Cahall Sandspur Field. Rollins falls to 1-4-0 on the year, with three losses against nationally ranked opposition. Mines improves to 3-0-2 in their first of two games in the Sunshine State.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Half
- The teams had been feeling each other out for the opening minutes before Emma Peterson put Colorado School of Mines on top with a bullet from outside the box.
- The Tars picked up the intensity after falling behind and created their best chance of the game with five minutes remaining in the half. Briyah Drayton slid a pass to Jessie Wade, who found herself alone with the keeper, but the Mines' Sierra Roth got down to make a nice save and preserve her team's lead.
- Overall Rollins took four shots to the Orediggers' five, while Elena Beasley and Roth each made a pair of first half stops.
Second Half
- Rollins looked energized in the second half, controlling possession for long spells, but the Tars could not get a high quality chance at goal.
- With the Tars pushing forward, the Orediggers would capitalize in the 79th minute. A long pass sent Amena Nelson free, and after jockeying for position with recovering Rollins defender, the substitute forward was able to chip the ball over Noel Miller and into the Tars net.
- Miller made three second half saves in her relief role, while the Tars forced Roth into a pair of second half stops.
