WINTER PARK, Fla. (May 7, 2021) – The Tars won their season finale, 12-9, over the Florida Tech Panthers. Rollins ends the year at 7-3 overall and 3-3 in Sunshine State Conference action. The 70% winning percentage is the highest in program history. Florida Tech falls to 2-5 overall and 1-3 in conference action.

Ryan Dunn led the Tars with five points, coming on four goals and one assist.Â
Bailey Pringle and
Brandon Carlin each tallied a hat trick.Â
Connor Coltharp contributed a goal and an assist.Â
Justin Isenhour caused three turnovers to lead the defense in front of freshman
Patrick Thomas. Thomas made 12 saves, playing the full 60 minutes in net for the Tars.

Reid Chaconas paced the Panthers with a hat trick of his own. Justin Williams added a pair of scores and an assist. Vincent Palermo saw the majority of time in cage for Florida Southern, making 10 saves.

The two teams traded goals to open the contest, with Chaconas starting the scoring.Â
Brandon Carlin tallied the Tars' first to even the score. After Chandler Hake scored a man up goal for the Panthers,
Bailey Pringle registered a man-up score to make it 2-2. Pringle then scored right at the buzzer to put Rollins up 3-2 after one quarter.

Florida Tech scored a man-up goal to pull the score level before the Tars scored five straight to take a commanding lead.Â
Grant Long started the scoring, before back-to-back dodges down the alley and low angel shots from Carlin made the score 6-3.Â
Ryan Dunn scored two straight to cap the goal streak.  Florida Tech tallied the last goal of the half to cut the lead to four, 8-4.

Chaconas completed his hat trick to start the second half scoring. Dunn completed his hat trick to regain the Tars four goal advantage. The Panthers then scored two consecutive to cut Rollins' lead to 9-7, but that was as close as Florida Tech would get. Pringle dodged from the wing and buried a low angle shot to end the quarter with the scoreboard showing 10-7.

Dunn grew the lead to four, at 11-7, with nine minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. The senior converted a fast break opportunity, with an assist from
Marshall Ellison.
Connor Coltharp grew the lead to 12-7 at the six minute mark, and sealed the game away. The Panthers scored two goals late, but could not pressure the Tars, as the Tars ended their season with a victory.
