Box Score TAMPA, Fla. (April 14, 2021) – Rollins moved back to .500 with a, 5-2, Sunshine State Conference victory over the Tampa Spartans. With the win the Tars improve to 4-4 on the year. The Spartans end their campaign at 2-7.

Eve Wasil got the match started for Rollins. The pair dominated their third court doubles match on the way to a 6-1 victory. The newly minted No. 6 doubles pairing in the nation,
Alexandra Borg and
Georgina Groth, sealed the point for the Tars with a 6-4 win on the top court. The Spartans avoided the sweep with a 7-5 win in the second position.

The Tars' depth proved to be the difference in singles action. Rollins got a win in the sixth spot to make the score 2-0.Â
Maria McKay controlled the court on her way to a 6-2, 6-1 tally. Wasil earned her second point of the day, and put Rollins on the edge of victory with a 6-4, 6-2, fifth court victory. Tampa would tally the next two points in the third and first positions and the remaining two matches would go to decisive third sets. Borg would end the drama. The senior recovered after dropping the first set, and clinched the match for the Tars, with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 win.Â
Polina Vlasova extended the Tars margin with a 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 win on the fourth court.
