Golubev Ranks No. 5 in ITA Singles Poll

TEMPE, Ariz. (December 2, 2021) – Dennis Golubev is listed among the best singles tennis players in the country in the final ITA Division II National Rankings.  The senior will enter the spring as the No. 5 player in the nation.

Golubev, who was previously named as the No. 2 player in the South Region, earned his No. 5 ranking courtesy of a strong showing this fall at the ITA South Regional.  The senior captured five victories on his march to the Championship Match, including wins over the fifth and third seeded players in the event.  Last spring Golubev tallied a 4-3 record in the first singles spot.  He is also listed, along with teammate Andrea Brignacca, as the No. 7 doubles team in the region.
 
The Tars spring season gets underway on Saturday, February 5 when they travel to Palm Beach Atlantic to face the Sailfish.  First serve is set for 2:30 p.m.
