WINTER PARK, Fla. (November 2, 2021) – Rollins could not keep up with Nova Southeastern, as the two teams battled in a shootout at Barker Family Stadium. Despite the 3-2 loss Rollins locked up a berth in the Sunshine State Conference Tournament; the Tars' seeding will be determined by their final regular season contest. On the night, Rollins falls to 6-6-3 overall and 4-2-3 in SSC action. Nova Southeastern improves to 8-6-1 overall, and 6-4-0 against conference opposition.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Half
- The Tars controlled much of the play in the first half, but the Sharks capitalized on their opportunities.
- Nova Southeastern jumped in front at the 15 minute mark. Louise Mastgard chipped a low corner kick over Noel Miller and into the back of the net for the Sharks.
- The Sharks doubled their lead just minutes later when Chalma Silva gathered a ball in the box and muscled her way into a shooting position, before putting a bouncing ball into the side netting.
- Rollins cut into the advantage with a beautifully worked set piece. Lana Truong laid a ball off for Chynna McGirt who drilled the ball over the charging Sharks defense and into the top corner of the net.
- The Tars could not sustain the momentum, and the Shark regained their two goal lead just before the break. Dejah Holman ran down the side of the field before putting a cross into a wide open Dani Correa, who tapped the ball into the Rollins goal.
Second Half
- McGirt secured her brace 20 minutes into the second period. Tayla Duffy lofted a corner into the six yard box. McGirt got her head to the ball and forced a save from the Nova Southeastern goal keeper. However, the ball fell back to the feet of the Tars senior forward, and she slotted the ball home to make the score 3-2.
- Rollins sustained pressure created a number of chances, but could not generate an equalizer. Rollins ended the second 45 minutes with 10 shots, five on target, but only the lone goal.
