Tsaruk Brace Not Enough for Rollins

The Tars fell to #16 Palm Beach Atlantic on the road

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (October 9, 2021) – The Tars fell to #16 Palm Beach Atlantic on the road.  Rollins could not maintain momentum after a furious comeback, as the Sailfish come out victorious, 3-2.  Rollins drops to 5-3-2 overall and 2-2-1 in Sunshine State Conference action.  Palm Beach Atlantic improve to 7-1-0, and 4-1-0 in conference play.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Half
  • The Sailfish took the lead with just ten minutes left in the half.  Tim Noeding found the back of the net off assists from Giancarlo Triulzi.
  • Rollins fired off seven shots against the Sailfish three, but each team only put one shot on goal during the period.
Second Half
  • Triulzi doubled the Palm Beach Atlantic lead just minutes into the second half.  Bicho Barquin registered the assist on the goal.
  • Rollins pulled a goal back in the 71st minute. Nazar Tsaruk intercepted an errant pass from the Sailfish goalkeeper and converted the chance to get Rollins on the board.
  • Tsaruk then netted the equalizer just eight minutes later, bring the score level at 2-2.
  • The Tars could not hold the momentum, as the Sailfish recaptured the lead.  Frederico Serra scored in the 86th minute to claim the win for Palm Beach Atlantic.
 
UP NEXT:
Rollins will return to the friendly confines of Barker Family Stadium on Wednesday, October 13, when they will take on Embry-Riddle.  Kickoff against the Eagles will be at 7 p.m.
