WINTER PARK, Fla. (October 13, 2021) – The Tars used a late goal to earn a hard fought victory over Embry-Riddle, 2-1, on the turf at Cahall-Sandspur Field. Rollins improves to 6-3-2 overall, and 3-2-1 against Sunshine State Conference opposition. The Eagles fall to 2-8-1, while they drop to 1-4-1 in SSC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Half
- Georgios Koliniatis put Rollins on top in the 36th minute by converting an opportunity from the penalty spot. Jari Polm earned the Tars the spot kick after his heels were clipped near the touchline.
- The Tars controlled play for most of the opening 45 minutes, but they could not expand their lead. Rollins fired 11 shots, and put four on target.
Second Half
- The second period was played much more evenly, and the Eagles grabbed an equalizer in the 68th minute. Toby Cassidy gathered a cross and battled with the Rollins defense before sliding a short pass to an open Sandro Henning who poked the ball into the net.
- The Tars got a boost in the 87th minute when Mattia Dabala picked up his second yellow card in a three minute stretch. The Eagles were limited to 10 men for the rest of the contest.
- Rollins would capitalize on their advantage just a minute later. Nazar Tsaruk rocketed a shot off the post. Valen Bargagna gather the rebound and sent a cross back into the box where Dominic Adomakoh got in front of his defender and sent a glancing header into the net, giving Rollins the decisive goal in the 2-1 win.

Rollins will take the weekend off before making a trip to Melbourne to face Florida Tech. Kickoff against the Panthers is set for 7 p.m.
