TAMPA, Fla. (October 23, 2021) – The Tars failed to hold onto an early advantage, as they fell on the road against the Tampa Spartans, 2-1. The Tars fall to 6-5-2 overall and 4-1-2 in Sunshine State Conference action. The Spartans improve to 8-5-1 overall, and 7-3-0 against conference foes.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Half
- Kayla Park got Rollins on the board first. The freshman tallied her third goal of the season at the 21 minutes mark.
- Overall, the half was played fairly evenly, with Rollins taking eight shots against the Spartans five, and both teams putting two efforts on target.
Second Half
- The Spartans equalized at the hour mark. Katherine Hostage found the back of the net on an assist from Stephanie deLaforcad.
- Hostage put Tampa in the lead late in the game, scoring on an assist from Elena Barr in the 83rd minute.
