WINTER PARK, Fla. (October 2, 2021) – The Tars picked up their first Sunshine State Conference victory, downing Eckerd 3-1 under the lights at Barker Family Stadium. Rollins improves to 4-2-2 overall, and 1-1-1 in conference action. The Tritons drop to 2-7-0, while Eckerd now sits at 1-3-0 in SSC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Half
- The Tars jumped out to an early lead when Mason Lamb found the back of the net in just the sixth minute. Jari Lamb slipped a pass through to Lamb who calmly slid the ball into the bottom corner.
- Rollins dominated possession, and largely kept the Tritons at bay throughout the first half, but the Tars were not able to generate any clear chances of their own over the last 39 minutes.
Second Half
- Rollins jumped out to a two goal lead, courtesy of a Georgios Koliniatis penalty kick. Hayden Smethurst drew the foul as he made a run down the wing and was taken out by the keeper. Rollins leading goal scorer, Koliniatis, coolly sent the keeper the wrong way to convert the spot kick.
- Eckerd pulled a goal back just moments later. A Rollins mishap gave Ty Dolan a chance and his shot caught Rollins keeper Maximillian Obermeier leaning the wrong way and found the back of the net.
- The Tars iced the match away with an Adomakoh to Adomakoh connection. With the Tritons pushing forward Dominic Adomakoh gathered a loose ball and saw his brother running free across the field. He sent a perfectly weighted pass which Jonah gathered and rocketed a shot into the side netting.
