WINTER PARK, FLA. (March 6, 2020)- Third-ranked Rollins and No. 15 Saint Leo met Friday in a battle of Sunshine State Conference heavyweights with Tars coming up short 1-0.
Rollins took just its second loss of the year (20-2) and moved to 9-1 in league play. Leo improves to 18-6, 4-3 SSC.
Both teams showcased pitching and defense as they combined to record just four hits.

Tars pitcher Ali Shenefield threw six strikeouts and allowed only one hit on the day. The one Lions run was unearned.
Rollins had three hits at the plate with Ashley Worrell, Chelsea Peace, and Cynthia Whitty all going 1-3. Chelsea Peace had the only extra base hit with a double in the sixth. She then stole third, but was stranded on base.
The lone run of the game came in the fifth as Ali Jaquith reached on a two-base error and scored on a Kacie Kelly RBI single.
