WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 4, 2019) – The Tars rebounded from their first loss of 2019 by dominating Division I Mount St. Mary's. Rollins improves to 6-1 on the year. The Mount fall to 1-8 overall.
Rollins swept the double action to secure the point from the three matches. Gai Feigin and Frederick Danielson teamed up for the first time to earn a 6-0 shutout with in the second position. Guillermo De Nicolas-Ruiz and Atakan Gezer improved to 5-1 on the year with a third spot win, clinching the point. Nicolo De Fraia and Andrea Brignacca sealed the sweep with a 6-3 win in the top spot.
Rollins took all six singles matches to shutout the Mount. Brignacca picked up his second win of the day, cruising to a 6-2, 6-1 fifth spot win. De Fraia stayed unbeaten on the year with a first position win, making the overall score 3-0. Nicolas-Ruiz sailed to a 6-3, 6-0 victory to seal the Tars fourth point and overall win. Daniel Ferl earned a three set win in the fifth spot, downing his opponent 7-5, 1-6, 6-2. Gezer scored Rollins' sixth point with a 6-3, 6-3 win in the fourth postion. Feigin completed the singles sweep, winning a first set tiebreak to take the third court match 7-6 (10-8), 6-1.
The Tars will take on Division I Valparaiso on Wednesday, March 6. First serve is set for 3 p.m.
