WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 4, 2019) – The Tars downed Division I Mount St. Mary's by a score of 6-1 on their home court. Rollins improves to 4-2 on the year, while the Mount falls to 0-8 overall.
The Tars dominated doubles play, sweeping all three matches to take the point. Alexandra Borg and Teresa Kaiser took the top court match 6-3. Savanna Fuller and Carlye Goldman clinched the point with a 6-3 win in the second court. Marie Debruyn and Kaitlynn Groves completed the sweep with a 6-2 third court win.
Debruyn dominated her sixth court singles match, winning 6-0, 6-1, to give Rollins a 2-0 lead. Ola Durzynski cruised to a 6-2, 6-3 victory in her second position match. Savanna Fuller also made easy work of her competition in the third set, seasling the match by giving Rollins a 4-0 lead. Kaitlynn Groves and Teresa Kaiser each won out of the fourth and fifth spots giving Rollins their fifth and sixth points.
Rollins will continue non-conference play by hosting Flagler on Wednesday, March 6. First serve is set for 4 p.m.
