CLEARWATER, Fla. (February 24, 2019) - Christian Huber picked up a second medal of the Sunshine State Conference Championship, taking bronze in the 100-yard freestyle, as Rollins finished sixth in the final team standings.

The Tars totaled 285 points over the four-day event, 69 more than last season. Nova Southeastern took the team title for the second straight year, followed by Tampa in second and Florida Southern third.
Huber capped off a spectacular championship with a third place finish in one of the closest races of the weekend. The freshman posted a deep NCAA B cut time of 44.48, beating Benjamin Gebauer's school record set two years ago. He was just .12 seconds away from first and .05 seconds away from the runner-up.
Huber closed the event leading off the Tars 400-yard freestyle relay in 44.25, teaming with Brady Spear, Paul Tobin and Dan Sulkowski in sixth with a time of 3:04.19. Their mark bettered the old school record by nearly three full seconds set by Kamel Tejeda, Paul Hoffman, Carson Nicely and Jackson Nicholson a decade ago.
Sulkowski finished eighth in the 200-yard breaststroke, posting a time of 2:05.33 in the finals. He set a new school record in the prelims, going 2:04.51.
Alex Norcini started the Tars day with an NCAA B Cut and 11th place finish in the 1650-yard freestyle. Elliott Wylie placed 13th in the 200-yard backstroke, posting a time of 1:52.13.
