CLEARWATER, Fla. (February 23, 2019) – Dan Sulkowski and Asa Marvel both set new school records Saturday night to highlight the Tars third day at the Sunshine State Conference Championship.

Sulkowski posted a sixth place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke, stopping the clock at 55.89. He beat his own mark of 57.00 set at last season's SSC Championship.
Marvel finished 13th in the 200-yard butterfly and hit the wall in 1:51.90, nearly two full seconds faster than the old school mark of 1:53.00 posted by Alex Norcini last season.
Norcini had a busy day Saturday, taking 10th in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:34.52, reaching an NCAA B cut time. Luke Waite was 16th in 4:41.62.
Elliot Wylie picked up team points in the 100-yard backstroke, posting a time of 51.47.
The Tars 800-yard freestyle relay team of Marvel, Norcini, Waite and Kyle Major went 6:59.99 and placed sixth.
The final day of the 2019 Sunshine State Conference Championship will be held Sunday, February 24 with prelims at 10 a.m. and finals at 5 p.m.
