CLEARWATER, Fla. (February 22, 2019) – Sydney Willis hit an NCAA B Cut Friday to highlight Rollins' day two of the 2019 Sunshine State Conference Championships.

The Tars are sixth at the midway point of the event with 157 points. Tampa leads with a score of 482 while Nova Southeastern is second at 455. The rest of the field is wide open with just 40 points separating third-through-seventh place.
Willis qualified for the B final in the 200-yard freestyle with a prelim time of 1:52.48. She took 11th in the evening final, stopping the clock at 1:52.63.
Beatriz Olivieri finished eighth in the 100-yard butterfly, posting a time of 56.79. The freshman also teamed with Samantha Shelly, Darrelle Pawley and Maya Thompson to finish sixth in the 400-yard medley relay in 3:54.00.
Anna Van Zyverden joined Thompson, Shelly and Willis to posted a fourth place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:35.28.
Day three of the four-day event starts with prelims on Saturday, February 23 at 10 a.m. with finals slated for 6 p.m. Florida Southern is serving as host of the championship at the Long Center in Clearwater.
