WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (October 12, 2019) – The Tars extended their winning streak to five with a 2-0 win on the road against Palm Beach Atlantic. The No. 11 Tars now sit at 8-2-0 overall and 5-0-0 in Sunshine State Conference action. The Sailfish fall to 4-5-0 overall, and 1-4-0 in SSC play.
Kathryn O'Brien continued her assault on SSC defenses, scoring her ninth goal of the season. She was joined in goals column by fellow senior Sarah Buckley. Olivia Talmage tallied an assist on the night for Rollins, her second of the year.
Kylee Rullo lead Palm Beach Atlantic with three shots, while Cheyenne Beck put the Sailfish only shot on target.
Elena Beasley was forced into just one save to earn the shutout. Madison Chiola made 10 saves to try to keep Palm Beach Atlantic in the contest.
Rollins would take the lead late in the first half. O'Brien would dribble past two Sailfish defenders, and us her strength to keep them off the ball, before taking a shot that lofted over Chiola and into the net. The Tars would take the 1-0 lead into the break.
Rollins would double their lead with just over 30 minutes remaining in the contest. Talmage gathered the ball out wide and deftly side stepped her defender. The junior dribbled into the box before slotting a pass to a wide open Buckley, at the penalty spot. The senior took a touch and had time to find her spot, sliding the ball in the low corner, behind the defenseless keeper. The Tars would easily see out the remainder of the game, sealing the win.

- Kathryn O'Brien is now sitting on 30 career goals in the Blue and Gold.
- Sarah Buckley now sits alone in 24th in Tars history with 12 scores.
- The Tars five match winning streak is their longest since 2014, the year the program made a run to the national championship game.
