MELBOURNE, Fla. (November 16, 2018) – The Tars men's swim team made their first splash in several weeks, opening up day one of the Florida Tech Panther Invitational on Friday.
Day 1 Results
Sophomore Alex Norcini swam a strong race, finishing third place in the 200 yard IM with a time of 1:56.20. Dan Sulkowski finished 16th in the race with a tiem of 2:02.60.
Christian Huber was sixth in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 20.98 while Asa Marvel finished 18th (22.53) in the event.
Huber joined Sulkowski, Elliot Wylie and Chase Benton to finish fifth in the 400-yard medlay in 3:33.50. Huber, Marvel, Benton and Sulkowski took home big points in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a fourth place finish (1:27.47).
Teammates Christian Huber, Asa Marvel, Chase Benton and Dan Sulkowski took fourth place in the 200 yard freestyle relay at (1:27.47) taking in 12 points for the team.
Kyle Major earned a 14th place finish in the 500-yard freesytle in 4:51.63.
The Tars are back in the pool Saturday, November 17 for day two of the event in Melbourne. Prelims are slated for 10 a.m. with finals scheduled for 6 p.m.
