AUBURNDALE, Fla. (October 31, 2017) – The Tars women's tennis team closed out their fall season with a successful trip to the College Tennis Clay Court Championships.
A pair of Tars made it to the semifinal round of the Gold Singles Bracket. Katie Dyson and Alexandra Borg each advancing to the final four. Marie Debruyn highlighted the Tars singles efforts, winning the Navy Bracket by defeating Barbara Damiani of St. Petersburg College 6-2, 6-4.
Fabiana Vitanza teamed up with Borg in the Gold Doubles competition, advancing all the way to the Finals of the section. Katie Dyson and Paula Collado were victorious in the Navy Doubles Bracket, besting Ricardo and Wills of Southeastern 8-4 in the Final.
The Tars ended their Fall Schedule, and will now prepare for the Spring season, which will get underway with an exhibition match against State College of Florida on February 7.
