WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (January 28, 2017) - Tianna
Rosser's double-double led Rollins to its fifth-straight
victory, a 75-65 road win at Palm Beach Atlantic.
Carly
McLendon recorded four blocks in the game, setting a new
Rollins record for most in a season with 51. The sophomore added 12
points, seven rebounds and a steal.
Rosser posted 15 points and 10 rebounds, her second double-double
of the season, to pace the Tars. Marie
Gilbert added 14 points, five rebounds, two blocks and two

Stone scored 10 points and eight rebounds.
Hannah Grim led PBA with 18 points while Ayanna Holmes added 17
points and 11 rebounds. Mina Salhia scored 10 points and handed out
five rebounds.
Rollins extends its winning streak to five, the longest current run
in the Sunshine State Conference.
The Tars improved to 13-6 overall and 8-4 in league play while PBA
drops to 7-12 and 3-9 in the SSC.

HIGHLIGHTS AND QUARTER-BY-QUARTER ANALYSIS
First Quarter l Rollins led the entire first quarter, but
by no more than three at any point. The opening quarter featured
five ties and ended with Rollins leading 19-18.
Second Quarter l PBA scored the first four points of the
second and took a 22-19 advantage early in the frame. Gilbert
scored a conventional three-point play with 4:48 on the clock to
put the Tars up 28-26 and started a 13-1 run to end the half,
punctuated with a Stone triple, giving Rollins a 38-29 lead at the
break.
Third Quarter l Led by a balanced inside-outside game,
Rollins pulled away in the third and led 56-38 after a Brittany
Betts three-pointer with 3:32 on the clock. The 'Fish outscored
Rollins 9-2 the rest of the frame and the game headed into the
fourth with Rollins winning 58-47.
Fourth Quarter l The Tars lead wilted to just seven, 62-55
with 6:15 to play, but another Gilbert three-point play and four
straight points from Rosser pushed the Tars advantage back to a
comfortable 69-55 with 3:24 left. Rollins wouldn't let PBA any
closer than 10 the rest of the way.

• The previous Rollins record for most blocks in a season
was 50, set by Ellen O'Day during the 1992-93 season. McLendon is
now alone in 10th on the Tars career list with 76.
• The top rebounding team in the SSC, Rollins outrebounded
an opponent by double-digits for the 12th time this season.
• Rosser's double-double was her second of the year and
fourth by a Tars this season.
