WINTER PARK, Fla. (September 12, 2016) - Behind
a 4-0 start to the season, Rollins women's soccer has moved to No.
8 in the latest NSCAA Division II National Ranking.
The Tars started the year unranked, but have outscored opponents
16-4 during their hot start and moved up eight spots in the week
two poll.
The top-two spots in the ranking are unchanged with Columbus
State topping the poll, followed by Grand Valley State. Central
Missouri moved to No. 3 while East Stroudsburg and Colorado School
of Mines round out the top-five.
Rollins is the highest-ranked school in the South Region.
Sunshine State Conference rival Florida Tech entered the poll for
the first time, coming in at No. 14. Embry-Riddle moved up four
spots to No. 20. The Tars and Eagles match-up in Daytona Beach on
Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. Rollins will then host the top-ranked
Junior College team in the country in an exhibition on Friday,
Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. in Winter Park.
