WINTER PARK, Fla (April 8, 2016) - The Tars
stumbled for the second match in a row on Friday afternoon, falling
to No. 5 Lynn, 8-1. With the loss, Rollins drops to 9-5 on the
season while the Fighting Knights improve to 14-3.
The Tars fell behind 2-1 after doubles and couldn't recover
against to fifth-ranked team in the country. Rollins win in doubles
came in the No. 1 match with Shannon
Etten and Carli
Davis defeating Rosalie Willig and Alina Jane, 8-4. Etten and
Davis are now 10-4 when paired together.
The Fighting Knights would sweep all six singles matches to
secure the win. In the No. 6 match, Fabiana
Vitanza pushed Jane to three sets but would eventually fall,
4-6, 6-0, 10-7.
The Tars will be back in action on Sunday, April
10th, hosting Nova Southeastern at 10:30 a.m.
