Rollins Falls to No. 7 Nova Southeastern

WINTER PARK, Fla. (April 10, 2016) - The Tars faced their third opponent ranked in the top-10 on Sunday morning, eventually falling to No. 7 Nova Southeastern, 7-2. No. 34 Rollins is now 9-6 on the year, including 1-3 in the SSC, while the Sharks move to 14-1 overall and 5-0 in conference play.

The Sharks would sweep all three doubles matches, jumping out to a commanding 3-0 lead heading to singles.

Nova Southeastern would go up 4-0 after a win in the No. 2 singles match before Fabiana Vitanza beat Linda Kornienko in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1, to put the Tars on the board. Vitanza is now 10-2 in singles for the Spring, including 7-1 in her last eight matches.

Unfortunately, the Sharks would then seal the match with a win in the No. 3 match.

Johanna Olsson would go on to beat Irina Constantinide 3-6, 7-5, 10-7 in the No. 5 match to move to 8-6 for the Spring.

Rollins will be back in action on April 12th when they travel to Tampa. The match is set to begin at 3 p.m.
