NOTES: Entering into the Sunshine State Conference Tournament for the second straight season, the defending SSC Tournament Champions and second-seeded Rollins women's lacrosse team is primed and ready to take on No. 3 seed Florida Tech on Friday afternoon. ROLLINS AT A GLANCE: Entering into the Sunshine State Conference Tournament as the No. 2 seed, the Rollins women's lacrosse team will square up with Florida Tech for the second time this season. The Tars are coming off of a regular season finale that saw Rollins fall to the Florida Southern Moccasins by a score of 15-6. The loss marked only the second for the season for the Tars, dropping their overall record to just 13-2 on the season, and secured the No. 2 seed for the Tars in the SSC Tournament as they finished conference play with a record of 3-1.

Sunshine State Conference Freshman of the Year and First Team All-SSC selection Kallie German led the team in goals and points, notching a hat trick and one assist for four points on the evening. Second Team All-SSC honoree Grayson McPhee tallied a goal and one assist, while First Team All-SSC selectee Tyler Thomas and Paige Brock scored one goal apiece.

On the season, Ty Thomas leads the way with 39 goals and four assists for a total of 43 points. Not far behind is German, who has recorded 37 goals and 10 assists for a team high of 47. First Team All-SSC selection Kris Coppolino has earned 26 goals and seven assists for 33 points on the year. P. Brock is leading the team with 11 assists and has 15 goals for a total of 26 points on the season.

German is also leading the Tars in ground balls with 26, followed by First Team All-SSC honoree Malorie Olin with 24. Defensively, First Team All-SSC player Lindsay Van Beck has caused a team high of 17 turnovers, followed by German with 10. In goal, Olin has faced 232 shots, making 101 saves for a save percentage of .543 in 15 games. The sophomore has allowed only 85 goals this season, averaging just 6.14 per game.

Dennis Short is in his ninth season at the helm of the Tars women's lacrosse program. He has posted a 53-17 record over the last four seasons, including a pair of trips to the NCAA National Semifinals. He is assisted by Tom Kienle, Mike Tobin, as well as former Tars standouts Chelsea Pinneke and Alley Rhinehart.

FLORIDA TECH AT A GLANCE: Florida Tech enters into Friday's matchup with an overall record of 10-6. Closing out their Sunshine State Conference campaign with a mark of 2-2, the Panthers earned the third-seed in the SSC Tournament.

In their last game, the Panthers cruised to a 13-3 victory over SSC opponent Saint Leo on Saturday, April 23. Sara Grenier scored her 100th career goal in the victory and paced the Panthers with three goals and one assist. Jordan Grant notched a hat trick and Allie Modica and Caroline Dunleavy recorded two goals and one assist apiece.

Leading the Panthers in goals so far this season is Sara Grenier, who leads the team with 41 goals and 11 assists for a team high of 52 points. Not far behind is Dunleavy with 36 goals and nine assists for 45 points on the season.

Allie Modica leads the team in ground balls with 47, with Sam Schlano not far behind with 46. Defensively, Schlano holds on team best of 41 caused turnovers, while Modica has 29. In goal, Stephanie Stuart has faced 341 shots, making 119 saves for a save percentage of .442 in 16 games. Stuart holds a goals-against-average of 9.35 per game.

Corinne Desrosiers was named Florida Tech's first head women's lacrosse coach on June 19, 2013. Desrosiers joined FIT after six seasons at the helm of Merrimack College, and led Florida Tech to a successful inaugural season in 2014-15 that saw the Panthers post a 7-9 overall record, and 1-3 mark in the Sunshine State Conference. She is assisted by Lindsey-Kate Smith.

SERIES: Rollins is 2-0 all-time against Florida Tech. The last time the two teams matched up was on April 13, 2016, when Rollins defeated the Panthers by a score of 14-10 in Melbourne, Fla.
