NOTES: Riding a six-game win streak, the fifth-ranked Rollins women's lacrosse team takes to the road for the first of a two-game road trip when they travel to Hickory, N.C. to take on the Lenior-Rhyne Bears on Thursday afternoon. ROLLINS AT A GLANCE: Opening up their 2016 season with a record of 6-0, the Rollins women's lacrosse team climbed on spot to No. 5 on the IWLCA Division II Coaches Poll, marking the highest ranking for the Tars this season.

Leading the Tars on the season is senior attacker Tyler Thomas, who has tallied 23 goals and three assists for a team high 26 points. Freshman Kallie German follows with 15 goals and four assists for 19 points, while Kris Coppolino has earned 12 goals and four assists for 11 points. Netting four goals and six assists so far this season are both Brittany Eveler and Emily Eddowes, while Paige Brock has tallied six goals and five assists for 11 points.

Malorie Olin leads the Tars in ground balls with 16, followed by German with 14, and Grayson McPhee with 10. Defensively, Lindsay Van Beck has caused a team high 10 turnovers, followed by Coppolino with eight. In goal, Olin has faced 85 shots, making 42 saves for a save percentage of .618 in six games. Olin has allowed 26 goals this season, averaging just 4.45 per game.

The Tars are coached by Dennis Short. The Spring of 2015 marks the ninth season for Short, posting a record of 52-17 over the last four seasons, including a pair of trips to the NCAA National Semifinals. He is assisted by Tom Kienle, Mike Tobin, as well as former Tars standouts Chelsea Pinneke and Alley Rhinehart.

LENOIR-RHYNE AT A GLANCE: Entering into Friday night's matchup with a record of 5-3, the the Bears conclude a seven game home stand by hosting the Tars on Thursday afternoon. The Bears enter into the contest riding a three-game win streak, most recently defeating Wingate by a final score of 18-9 on March 12.

Leading the Bears in goals so far this season is Torrey Schwitkis, who has 21 goals in eight games this season. Schwitkis has added two assists for 23 points, but Clare Wach leads the team in overall points scored as she has tallied 15 goals and a team high 11 assists. Aubriana Benedetto has scored 15 goals and five assists, while Christine Faircloth rounds out the double-digit goal scoring for the Bears with 11 goals and has added four assists for 15 points.

Both Taylor Winters and Emily Kessler lead the team in ground balls with 28, while Wach leads the team in draw controls with 25. Benedetto currently holds onto a team best nine caused turnovers.

In goal for the Bears, Ines Flueck has earned 91 saves as she has faced 201 shots in eight games, earning a save percentage of .580. Flueck has allowed 66 goals, averaging 8.8 per game.

Lenoir-Rhyne is coached by Clare Gaeng, who is in her second season as head coach of the Bears. Last season, Gaeng guided Lenoir-Rhyne to a second-place finish in the South Atlantic Conference Regular Season standings and earned a second consecutive berth to the league championship. The Bears finished 10-8 on the year including a 7-1 mark in the conference play. She is assisted by Kathelene Kim.
