The Tars take to road for their first road trip of the season,
traveling to Romeoville, Illinois to take part in the Lewis Flyer
Festival hosted by Lewis University. Rollins will open up the day
against Ohio Dominican at 11:00 a.m. (EST), and will close out the
day against Lewis University at 8:00 p.m. (EST). Fans will be able
to follow the action live through live stats and video provided by

ROLLINS AT A GLANCE: The Tars opened their
2015 campaign with a mark of 1-3 after hosting the 2015 Rollins
Invitational last weekend. Kicking off the season with a 3-0 sweep
of Southern Oklahoma, Rollins then found themselves at the bottom
end of a 3-0 match against a tough Northern State squad. The Tars
closed out the tournament with two competitive matches, but
ultimately fell to Spring Hill in a five set heartbreaker, 3-2,
followed by a 3-1 loss to Sioux Falls.
Leading the way for Rollins after the first four matches is
sophomore Bri
Civiero, who has tallied 58 digs on the year. The Mount Dora,
Fla. native has a team best 3.87 kills per set, and has added 36
digs and six blocks. Senior April
Jackson leads the way in assists with 98, averaging 6.53 per
set while adding 22 digs.
Sophomore libero Rebecca
Wilson has a team high 78 digs, averaging 5.2 per set.
Freshman Sam
Schlesman has made an instant impact with 16 blocks so far,
followed closely by Kianna
Dieudonné with 13.
OHIO DOMINICAN AT A GLANCE: The Panthers enter
into Friday morning's matchup with a record of 3-2, most recently
squaring off against Charleston (W.V.) in a 3-2 victory. Ohio
Dominican opened up its season with consecutive 3-0 sweeps over
Bemidji State and Lock Haven. The Panthers then lost 3-1 to both
Concordia (Ore.) and Quincy, before getting back on track against
Charleston.
Junior Jackie Oestreich leads the team in kills with 60,
averaging 3.16 per set. Senior Kelsey Fortney has amassed a team
best 102 assists in five matches, averaging 5.37 per set, while
newcomer Anna Ficker leads the team in digs with 91. Fellow
freshman Rebecca Skidmore leads the Panthers in blocks with 22.
LEWIS UNIVERSITY AT A GLANCE: Host school Lewis
University enters into Friday's match with an overall record of
3-1. The Flyers opened their season with a 3-1 victory over Molloy
before dropping a 3-1 contest to Cal State LA. The Flyers then bot
back to their winning ways in a 3-0 sweep of Seattle Pacific, and
followed up with a 3-1 win over Dixie State. Lewis will face Ohio
Dominican at 3:30 p.m. (EST) before taking on the Tars at 8 p.m.
(EST).
Lewis is flying high behind a balanced attack, led by Elizabeth
Hyland and Alexis Davito with 44 and 43 kills, respectively.
Hyland leads the way with 2.93 kills per set, followed closely by
Davito with 2.87 kps. McKenna Pierson leads with 108 assists,
averaging 7.2 per set. Defensively, Nicole Yuede leads with 68
digs, followed by Hyland with 46, while Aly Schneider has earned a
team best 18 blocks so far this season.
NEXT UP FOR ROLLINS: The Tars return to Warden
Arena on Friday, September 18, when they host Florida Southern to
open up Sunshine State Conference action. Match time against the
Moccasins is slated for 7 p.m. in Warden Arena. Fans who cannot
