PENSACOLA, Fla. (May 3, 2015) - In this year's
NCAA South Regional Final, the sixth-seeded Tars collided with
second-seeded West Florida on Sunday and fell 5-1.
No. 11 Rollins made it to the NCAA South Regional Final for the
first time since the 2011-12 season when the Tars also fell 5-1 to
No. 3 West Florida. Rollins challenged themselves with 15 ranked
opponents among the ITA, coming through with success multiple
times.
In their 32nd NCAA Postseason appearance, the Tars trailed 2-1
after Robin Marchione and Malte
Christesen won at three doubles in a close 8-6 match.
No. 5-ranked Anton
Bettink led UWF's No. 14 Alex Peyrot 7-6 (6), 2-3 but could not
finish before UWF picked up their fifth win.
Overall, Rollins went 15-10 this season making the SSC
Tournament Semifinals and earned a spot in the NCAA Division II
Men's Tennis South Regional Championship.
