No. 18 Tars Prepare for Two Weekday Doubleheaders

ROLLINS AT A GLANCE: Rollins (24-4, 9-3 SSC) is coming off a three game SSC sweep of Eckerd in St. Pete this past weekend. The Tars outscored the Tritons 27-7 in the series. The Tars middle infielders stayed hot at the plate all series long. Second baseman Brittany Johnson went 7-10 at the plate with six RBIs and shortstop Jule Kranz wasn't far behind at 6-10 with six runs scored.

Rollins is the ninth-best hitting team (.356) in Division II led by the reigning SSC Player of the Week sophomore Hailee Keisling (.518 b/avg). Over the course of the five games last week, Keisling went 13-for-21 (.619) with eight RBI's, six runs, and no strikeouts, including the first five-hit performance in Tars history.

Junior Niki Fogle (19-4) is tied for the most wins in the nation and anchors the Tars pitching staff with a 1.60 ERA. The Tennessee-native has notched 126 strikeouts in 140.1 innings pitched this season. Tiffany Osmanski is a perfect 5-0 on the year with a 1.43 ERA.

OAKLAND CITY AT A GLANCE: The Oaks (2-6) are just beginning their 2015 campaign, with their best performances coming in wins over Brescia 9-8 and 8-4. OCU is led offensively by Kiersten Atkinson (.409) and Bailey Gilbert (.348) with each driving in a team-best four RBIs. Amanda Schmitt (1-3, 2.92 ERA) has tossed the most innings for the Oaks (24.0) and racked up the most strikeouts (11).

Oakland City University is a coeducational, small-town, urban, private university in Oakland City in eastern Gibson County, about 25 miles (40 km) north and slightly east of Evansville in Southwestern Indiana, United States. The Oaks are NCAA DII independents and members of the NCCAA Division I Midwest region.

ALBANY STATE AT A GLANCE: Albany State (7-13, 5-0 SIAC) swept SIAC-foe Claflin over the weekend in a three game set before dropping two games to Georgia College on Monday. The Lady Rams travel south to take on Nova Southeastern Tuesday before squaring off against the Tars Wednesday.

The Golden Rams lead the SIAC in fielding percentage (.965) while ranking second in ERA (3.38) and third in home runs (.71/game). Ambrionna Atkism leads the squad with a .392 batting average while Toni Coleman has jacked a team-best four home runs. Alexa Lopez leads Albany State with three victories in the circle and 51 innings pitched. Chelsea Hicks checks in with a the lowest ERA on the squad at 1.75.

PAST MATCHUPS: The Tars have never previously faced the Oaks. Rollins beat Albany State four times last season, twice in Albany - 9-0 and 2-0 - and twice in Winter Park - 9-3 and 6-1.

NEXT UP FOR ROLLINS: The Tars will travel south to Miami Shores for a three game series against SSC-leading Barry next Saturday and Sunday. The single game on Saturday night will begin at 6 p.m. while the doubleheader on Sunday is set for a noon start.
