WINTER PARK, Fla. - (March 16, 2015)-- For a
third time this season Rollins sophomore men's tennis player Anton
Bettink was selected as the player of the week in the Sunshine
State Conference.
Against Merrimack College, Bettink (ranked No. 10 by the ITA)
defeated Steven Francis in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4. Bettink, now
11-1 in singles and 8-4 in doubles, teamed with Adrian
Di Felice in doubles and defeated Francis and Mikhail Belov,
8-4.
The sophomore righty defeated Ferris State's Laurent Galarneau
in straight sets 7-5, 6-3 while winning doubles 8-4. Against No. 8
Saint Leo Bettink did not lose serve as he defeated Egor Panyushkin
6-4, 6-2.
No. 13 Rollins (7-5) continues play at home March 16 against
Wayne State from the Bert W. Martin Complex.
