ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (November 20, 2015) - The Rollins volleyball team was unable to hold back tough Triton squad, falling to Eckerd College by a final tally of 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 29-276) on Friday evening at the McArthur Center. The loss drops the Tars to a mark of 11-18, and 6-9 in Sunshine State Conference action, while the Tritons advance to a record of 16-13, and 7-9 in the SSC.

Pacing the Tars in kills was sophomore Bri Civiero with seven on the night, followed closely by Shannon McDonough with six, and Rachel Sawyer with five. MaryEllen Pole led the way in assists with 12, with April Jackson close behind with 11 on the night. Civiero earned a double-double by adding 13 digs to her kill count, followed by Rebecca Wilson with 11. At the net, McDonough and Kianna Dieudonné held a team best three blocks apiece.

The Tritons saw a match-best performance from Tjasa Kotnik, who tallied 17 kills on thie night, followed by Lauryn Nelson with 11, and JaQuayla Baker with 10. Emily Schadow earned a match high 33 assists, while Keitlyn Sibson led the game in digs with 17.

The Rollins volleyball team returns to action on Saturday, November 21, when they take on Saint Leo University in their final match of the regular season. Game time against the Lions is set for 7 p.m. in the Marion Bowman Activities Center.
