WINTER PARK, Fla. (February 26, 2014) -
Starting the season 2-2, all against ranked opponents, Rollins
remained at No. 9 in the first ITA Division II Rankings of the
spring season.
The Tars beat 30th-ranked Palm Beach Atlantic and
16th-ranked Valdosta State to start the season. They
then lost to NAIA No. 7 Embry-Riddle and dropped a Sunshine State
Conference decision to sixth-ranked Lynn.
Armstrong Atlantic tops the poll with the first nine staying the
same as the preseason release. BYU Hawaii is second and SSC rival
Barry comes in a No. 3. Along with the Tars, Lynn at six and Saint
Leo at eight and Florida Southern at 10 give the conference half of
the top-10 spots.
Nova Southeastern is 15th, Florida Tech
18th and Tampa 23rd.
The Tars will be back in action on Thursday, Feb. 27 at Tampa in
a SSC match-up. Play is schedule to begin at 3 p.m.
