BOCA RATON, Fla. (November 7, 2014) - Collyn
Welsch had 19 digs, but Rollins (15-13, 7-6)
fell to Lynn (13-11, 6-7) 3-0, 25-14, 25-22, 25-22 on Friday
evening from the Alfond Sports Center.
Shannon
McDonough led the Tars with 10 kills and six digs. Jessica
Wilson added seven kills and two blocks. Kate
Stefanski had six kills while Jennifer
Ceballos had five kills and 10 digs. Abby
Jo Winsor contributed six digs while MaryEllen
Pole led the Tars with 12 assists.
As a team, Rollins hit .148, with 34 kills, 18 errors, 31
assists and 55 digs.
Lynn's Elyse Fleck had 13 kills and hit .458. Marissa Tandron
had 37 assists, six digs and three kills. Katie Knight led the
Fighting Knights with 14 digs. As a team, Lynn hit .263, had 44
kills, 51 digs, 12 blocks and 39 assists.
Set Breakdown
Rollins hit .222 and had nine kills in the first set. The Tars
followed that up hitting .122 with 13 kills and eight errors in the
second set. In the third set, Rollins had 25 digs, hit .125, adding
12 kills and seven errors. The match was tied only seven times (six
of which occurred in the first set) all night with the Tars taking
the lead just twice in all three sets.
