ROLLINS AT A GLANCE: The Tars had their chances
in both games at the Johnson C. Smith Tip-off Classic last weekend,
but came up short against both Livingstone and the host Golden
Bulls. The Livingstone game was a shootout with the Tars coming up
short 89-82. Alex Blessig had 14 points to lead the Tars. The
following afternoon, Rollins took the court against JCSU and led
late, but couldn't hold on and lost 64-59. Scott Schuette posted
team-highs with 14 points and six rebounds. Blessig had another
solid game with 10 points and was named to the All-Tournament
team.
Rollins will also be looking to bounce back from a 66-60 loss to
Warner in the home opener a week ago.
Blessig leads the season box score with 12.2 points, 3.8
rebounds and 3.4 assists a game. Chris Uhle is scoring 12 points a
night and leads the team with 5.4 rebounds and 2.6 blocks a night.
Schuette adds 11.2 points a game and Sharif Almulla scores 9.8 a
night off the bench.
Tars coach Tom Klusman (Rollins '76, '78MBA) is in his 35th-year
leading the program and carries a 625-357 career record. He has the
fourth most victories among active Division II coaches, trailing
only Herb Magee of Philadelphia, Bob Chipman from Washburn and
Tampa's Richard Schmidt. All-time, Klusman ranks 11th in
total victories.
PUERTO RICO BAYAMON AT A

be going against the unknown as the opponent's first action of the
year. Livingstone's game against Rollins was its season opener and
Bayamon has yet to play in the continental U.S.

Bayamon. They last played on Nov. 25 a year ago with the Tars
coming out on top, 65-49. Nine different players scored for the

Vaqueros with 22 points while Victor Caratiny put up 10.
