Riding a streak of three successful results, Rollins travels to
Florida's west coast to face Eckerd Saturday night. The Tars are
looking to keep pace in the conference standings while the Tritons
seek a first victory in the league.
ROLLINS AT A GLANCE: Rollins last time out was
an absolute thriller, a 4-3 overtime win over Nova Southeastern on
Wednesday. The Tars appeared down and out after the first 45
minutes, trailing 3-0 on the home field. Less than 15 minutes into
the second frame, Rollins evened the score with Skyler
Russell sending the home crowd home in a frenzy with a
game-winner four minutes into overtime. Rob

Coulter each recorded a goal and assist to lead Rollins.
Brett
Durrance is the Tars' top-scorer, standing fourth in the
conference with 13 points on six goals and an assist. Rob
Crowley and Grant
Blackhurst are tied for 10th in the league with 10
points.
Freshman Parker
Sweeney, the reigning SSC Defensive Player of the Week, has
started the last two in goal for the Tars, allowing three goals and
picking up six saves.
The winningest coach in Rollins soccer history, Dr. Keith
Buckley is in his 24th year at the helm of the Tars program in
2014. His career record of 282-134-25 is the 34th best in the
history of NCAA Division II men's soccer and ranks 21st among
active coaches. In the past decade, Buckley's Tars have won four
Sunshine State Conference Championships, three SSC tournament
titles, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament eight times.
ECKERD AT A GLANCE: The Tritons are winless in
their last eight and are coming off a 3-0 defeat at the hands of
ninth-ranked Saint Leo on Wednesday. EC got off just five shots in
the game, three on goal.
Nick Jackson is Eckerd's top offensive threat, posting 12 points
to stand tied for fifth in the SSC with six goals.
Alex Gott plays in goal for the Tritons and carries a 2.21 goals
against average.
LAST MEETING: Rollins defeated Eckerd 5-0 in
Winter Park.
