WINTER PARK, Fla. (September 27, 2013) -
Rollins opened Sunshine State Conference play on the right foot as
they defeated the Barry Buccaneers 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-19) Friday
night at Warden Arena.
The Tars improve to 11-2 overall and 1-0 in SSC play, while
Barry falls to 4-4 on the year and 0-1 in conference play.
Camille
Indest led all scorers with 10 kills and one block.  Kelly
Merideth added a nine-kill effort with seven digs, one block
and one assist.  Jessica
Wilson registered five kills, two blocks and a season-best four
aces.
In the opening frame, Rollins jumped out to an early lead, but
fell behind on a BU rally.  The Bucs were able to extend their lead
to four, but a 6-0 rally by the Tars put Rollins up by two, 20-18.

Stefanski secured the first set win, 25-21.
The Tars cruised in the next two sets, winning the second 25-17
and the third 25-19.  Rollins had to battle from behind in the
second set and led by as many as seven at the 21-12 mark on a bad
set by the Bucs.
In the final set, Rollins went strong from start to finish and
did not disappoint.  The Tars recorded 10 more kills than the Bucs
(17-7) with Merideth registering four of her nine.  Collyn
Welsch also recorded eight of her 13 digs in the third
frame.
Rollins will be back in action on Saturday, September 28 as they
host the Florida Tech Panthers.  First serve is set for 4 p.m.
