WINTER PARK, Fla. (April 6, 2013) -
No. 12 Rollins stumbled at home for just the second time this
season on Saturday morning, falling to No. 2 Barry, 6-3.
The Tars fell behind by a point, 2-1, after the doubles portion
of the match was completed, their win coming in the No. 1 match
where Elissa
DeCampli and Ashley
Rosenberg defeated #11 Elisabeth Abanda and Emma Onila 9-8
(7-6). DeCampli and Rosenberg are now 9-1 in their last ten after
starting the year 2-5 as a team.
In singles play, DeCampli defeated Abanda, who is the No. 28
ranked singles player in Division II, 6-4, 6-2, but unfortunately,
Rollins dropped four of the remaining five matches.
Callie
Whitlock earned the third and final Tars win in the No. 5
singles spot, beating Isabela Miro 4-6, 6-4, 10-8, but the match
had already been decided.
Rollins will be back in action on Tuesday, Apr. 9 at Eckerd.
