Tars Close Regular Season with Sweep of Tritons

No. 12 Rollins closed out their regular season schedule on Tuesday afternoon, coasting past the Eckerd Tritons, 9-0.

With the win, the Tars finish with an overall record of 14-4, 4-4 in the SSC, while Eckerd drops to 2-10, 0-7 in conference.

The sweep was Rollins' fifth of the season.

The Tars made quick work of the Tritons in doubles, dropping just one set in three matches.

In the No. 1 spot, Elissa DeCampli and Ashley Rosenberg defeated Gipson Hawn and Erika Fridrik, 8-1, and finished the year 12-6 when paired together.

Ashley Loft and Callie Whitlock cruised in No. 2 doubles, beating Eckerd's Amy Naula and Manon Ironside, 8-0, while Mariana Salvador and Carli Davis were also stellar, blanking Taylor Bullock and Amanda Teets, 8-0, in the No. 3 match.

Salvador and Davis close the regular season with a team best 14-3 record overall as a duo.

Rollins proved to be just as dominant in singles play, not dropping a single set in six matches.

DeCampli downed Hawn in the No. 1 spot, 6-2, 6-1, to finish with a 10-7 record in singles while Rosenberg (11-4), Davis (14-3) and Salvador (12-4) picked up wins as well in the No. 2-4 spots, each finishing up solid seasons

Whitlock defeated Amy Naula in the No. 5 spot, 6-0, 6-0, to finish with a team best 14-2 in singles play while A. Loft beat Teets in the No. 6 spot, 6-2, 6-1 to finish off the sweep.
