LA JOLLA, Calif. (March 6, 2013) - The sixth
ranked Tars overcame an early deficit to secure the 6-3 win over
No. 28 UC San Diego on Wednesday morning.
The pairing of Adrian Di Felice and Cooper Maxwell defeated Rajeev Herekar and Teddy
Truong, 8-6 in the No. 3 slot for Rollins' only win in doubles.
Down a point heading to singles, the Tars went on to win five
out of six singles matches.
In No. 1 singles, Will Kwok defeated Camill Salomon 7-5, 4-6,
10-7
while Robin Marchione downed Max Jiganti 2-6, 6-2,
6-3
in the No. 2 spot.
Malte Christesen and Di Felice each won in No.
3 and No. 4 singles repectively while Maxell bead Truong 6-1, 6-3
in No. 6 singles.
The Tars will be back in action Thursday, Mar. 7 when they take
on the University of Hawaii - Hilo. Play is scheduled to begin at 9
a.m.
