SALISBURY, N.C. (March 30, 2013) - The Rollins
men's lacrosse team suffered a heartbreaking 12-11 loss to the
Catawba Indians in a Deep South Conference match up Saturday
afternoon. Freshmen A.J.
Gogan and Riley
Robinson each had a hat trick on the day.
The Tars fall to 3-9 on the season and 2-4 in conference play
while the Indians move to 5-7 and 3-3 in Deep South play.
Rollins entered the intermission down 5-3 as Gogan, Robinson and
Jack
Dever registered the first half goals for the Tars.
The Tars came out of the break on an offensive tear, scoring
five of the first six goals in the period to take an 8-6 lead.

Hauver and goals two and three for Gogan built the two point
Tars advantage.
Freshman attack Stefanowicz recorded his second goal of the
season later in the third period but the Indians also scored three
times to tie the score 9-9 entering the final frame.
Catawba scored first in the fourth period to take a 10-9 lead
but senior Austin
Ricci answered back with his seventh goal of the season to
level the score at 10 with just under 10 minutes left in the
contest.
The Indians scored again to take a one-goal advantage before
Robinson tallied his third goal of the game to tie the game 11-all
with 1:44 left to play.
Catawba attack Steven Ridolfo sunk the Tars spirits by scoring
the game-winning goal with 18 seconds left, making the final 12-11
in favor of Catawba.
Junior goalie Andrew
Sheerin racked up 16 saves while seeing 47 Catawba shots.
Rollins will return to the field in Tampa on Friday, April 5 for
a conference match up against the Spartans. Face off is slated for
