FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. (February 17, 2013) - No.
13 Rollins battled back from a big hole after doubles on Sunday
afternoon but couldn't complete the comeback, eventually falling to
No. 16 Nova Southeastern, 5-4.
The Tars (2-2, 1-2 SSC) found themselves in a 3-0 hole heading
into singles play, dropping the three doubles matches all by a
score of 8-6.
Rollins then fought back, winning three of the first four
singles matches to pull within a point at 4-3.
The match then came down to the 1st and 3rd seeds, who were both
in 3-set matches.
Unfortunately for the Tars Elissa DeCampli would fall to Sabrina Kierberg 4-6,
6-4, 6-4 to seal the match for the Sharks about five minutes before
Carli Davis won hers 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 over Linda
Kornienko.
Rollins will be back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 20 when they
host Tampa. Play is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
