WINTER PARK, Fla. (November 9, 2013) - Rollins
won seven individual events and a relay as the Tars beat Florida
Tech 148-114 Saturday for their first dual meet win of the
year.
Audrey
Kula had a hand in four victories to lead the Tars. She opened
the day teaming with Carli Singleton, Katie
Gentsch and Rocio
Henriquez to win the 200-yard medley relay in 1:53.82.
Kula also won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:57.49, 100-yard
butterfly with a time of 58.97, and the 50-yard fly, clocking
26.57.Gentsch also added a victory in the 50-yard breaststroke,
earning a time of 33.11.
Grace
Alexander was a double-winner, taking the 1000-yard freestyle
by 24-seconds with a winning time of 10:55.74. She also won the
500-yard freestyle in 5:19.17. Hannah
Sneden was second in the 1000 (11:19.78) and third in the 500
(5:26.01).
Molly
Spencer won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:11.86 and Kylie
Klozbach took first in the 200-yard IM, hitting the wall at
2:17.30.
Singleton added runner-up finishes in the 50-yard backstroke
(29.21) and 100-yard backstroke (1:04.63). Gentch was second in the
50-yard breaststroke (33.11) while Henriquez finished runner-up in
the 50-yard freestyle (25.32).
The Tars 200-yard freestyle relay team of Henriquez, Singleton,
Maddie
Minetree and Christine
Bianco finished second with a time of 1:43.88.
Rollins will be back in the pool Saturday, November 16 traveling
to Boca Raton to take on Lynn at 1 p.m.
