posted its best defensive effort of the season and Lukas
Winegarner took care of things on offensive end, leading
Rollins to a 65-49 win over the University of Puerto Rico at
Bayamon on Monday night.
The win is Rollins (3-4) second straight and gives the Tars
positive momentum heading into a fourth game in five days on
Tuesday.
Winegarner poured in 16 points off the bench to lead the Tars.
The senior shot 3-of-5 from the field, hit his only 3-pointer and
was 9-of-9 from the free throw line. His night also included five
rebounds and two blocks.

Uhle netting eight.
Rollins totaled 14 steals on the night with Mitch
Woods earning four and Alex
Blessig and Scott
Schuette each getting three. The Tars forced 19 Bayamon
turnovers and committed 15.
Rollins shot 63 percent in the first half and ended the game 49
percent (18-37) from the floor. They were 7-of-15 from 3-point
range and connected on 22-of-28 from the charity stripe. Bayamon
shot 15-of-40 (38 percent) and outrebounded the Tars 26-24.
Rollins was hot to start, but the Vaqueros kept pace as
four-straight Winegarner free throws midway through the half gave
the Tars a 23-15 lead.
Rollins would then go on to lead 35-25 at the half.
Bayamon quickly cut the Tars advantage in half coming out of
intermission, but Rollins began to slowly pull away and led by as
much as 16.
The Tars have a quick turnover, next playing the University of
Puerto Rico Mayaguez at 3 p.m. on Tuesday Nov. 26. Fans can catch
