INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (November 13, 2013) - The
Rollins volleyball team dropped one spot to sixth in the latest
NCAA Division II South Region rankings, it was announced
Wednesday.
Since the last release of the rankings, Rollins has won
back-to-back matches against Florida Tech and Saint Leo, who are
also ranked in the region at No. 8 and No. 5 respectively.
Nationally-ranked Tampa remains atop the region rankings with an
overall record of 25-1 and an in-region record of 20-0. Palm Beach
Atlantic moved up to No. 2 in the poll, while Eckerd took the No. 3
spot.
Florida Southern sits No. 4 in the region, while Saint Leo
rounds out the top-5.
In the bottom half of the rankings at No. 6 is Rollins, while
West Florida, Florida Tech, Lynn and Valdosta round out the
top-10.
Five matches remain in the Tars' regular-season with a midweek
contest against No. 2 Tampa on Wednesday, November 13. Match time
is set for 7 p.m.
