WINTER PARK, Fla. (October 11, 2013) - The Rollins volleyball team used the 18 kills of Camille Indest and five combined blocks between Aroon Duncanson and Jessica Wilson to get past the Nova Southeastern Sharks Friday night at Warden Arena.

Rollins won the match in four sets with scores of 25-11, 25-19, 21-25 and 25-18. The Tars improve to 13-4 on the season and 3-2 in the Sunshine State Conference, while NSU falls to 3-10 overall and 0-5 in conference action.

Camille Indest tied her season-high in kills and set a new season-best with six digs in the Tars' victory over the Sharks. Duncanson matched her career-high of five blocks, while Wilson added an all-around performance.

April Jackson and MaryEllen Pole combined for 36 of the Tars' 47 assists. Defensively, all but two players recorded at least one dig. Collyn Welsch led with 20 digs, while Kelly Merideth notched 13 and Christina Carracino 10.

Coming out of the gates hot, the Tars scored eight consecutive points to start the set, which included four blocks coming at the hands of Aroon Duncanson and Jessica Wilson. Rollins ended the set on a 9-1 run to win 25-11.

NSU gave the Tars a bit more of a match-up in the second set as the Sharks went on a 6-1 run to even the match at nine points apiece and then again at 11-all. Rollins was able to distance themselves from NSU winning the set 25-19 on a kill by Duncanson. Indest recorded six of her 18 kills in the second set.

The third set was not as pleasant for the Tars as the Sharks took one away from them. NSU won their first set since Sept. 14 when they faced the Bentley Falcons in St. Petersburg. The Sharks won 25-21, outhitting the Tars .270-.211.

Rollins sealed the match in the fourth set, winning 25-18. The Sharks managed to come within two at the 14-12 mark, but a 5-1 rally by the Tars put them ahead 19-13.

Syndey Cook and Dana Holger led the Sharks with 15 and 13 kills each. On the defensive side, four Sharks recorded double-figure digs with Candice Johnson tallying a team-best 20.

Rollins will return to Warden Arena on Saturday, Oct. 11 when they play host to the Lynn Fighting Knights. Match time is set for 4 p.m. Fans can follow the action live on the Tars Sports Network at RollinsSports.com.
